Templates are used on use the Huntik Fanon Wiki in order to easily insert the same type of content throughout different pages. Using templates helps to ensure consistency between article styles as well as saving the time of duplicating the text over and over. The templates included on this page are only a small subset which represent some of the most important and commonly used templates. Article management templates
Article management templates are used to sort and classify articles when there are certain problems on the article or for sorting article content. For a full list of article management templates, see Category:Article management templates.
Different articles with similar or identical names may need to have a "disambiguation page" linking to the other articles. The Disambig template makes doing so easy by formatting the article and categorizing it under Category:Disambiguations. For more information on disambiguations, see Help:Disambiguation.
Stubs are articles with insufficient information. In many cases, stubs may be only a few sentences long. The Stub template may be used to flag such articles as stubs and to include them in Category:Article stubs. However, not all short pages should be considered to be stubs. Many spell pages, though short, contain all relevant and known information. For more information on stubs, see Help:Stubs.
General use templates are used on a variety of pages for a variety of functions. For a full list of article management templates, see Category:General wiki templates.
The Clear templates move content below them below existing content such as images and other templates. In many cases, this may be used to make an image gallery appear at the bottom of an article, below the infobox.
Table of Contents (TOC)
The TOC template may be used when the table of contents needs to be repositioned for some reason. Each templates floats the table of contents on the right side of the article. Both should only be used when absolutely necessary, to keep consistent design.
Template code (T)
The T template provides example template code, with a link to that template, without directly applying the template to a page. This template is mainly used on Help pages, Template pages, and community pages. It should never appear on in-universe Huntik articles.
Message templates may be used to send pre-typed messages to users. Some of these messages are used by Wikia's automated message system. Others are used for quick notification of an issue with a contribution or with multiple contributions.
The Welcome template allows users to manually welcome new editors to the Huntik Fanon Wiki. In most cases, the automated Wiki messages overshadow the manual use of both of these templates.
